REBONDING AT HEAVEN'S SALON

It was a chandelier before...

It was planned and it happened. I thought it will be cancelled because I am sick the other night.

Nov. 30 is the day I reserved for my hair rebonding. Last year, I went to Heaven's Salon at Mandaluyong (as recommended by a friend). It was my first time at the salon though.

For this year, I have decided to go back to Heaven's Salon as I was satisfied with the results last year.

The thing is, from last year to this year, their price never change. I think it's because of its clients that comeback. So a big check!!!

Oh! I captured Heaven's Salon's contact nos. :-)

We arrived at the salon past 10 AM, and we saw huge no. of girls waiting for their turn to call. We saw a Heaven's staff named Eden, and she's very accommodating and jolly. She is in-charge of the listing of girls.

Heaven's Salon staff Eden (in red) listing the names of the girls

Below is the list of package Heaven's Salon offers:

Package 1: Rebond with washable cello + hair mask (P775)
Package 2: Rebond with permanent cellophane + hair mask & vitamin C (P1,185)
Package 3: Rebond with "service all you can" for hair treatment + hair cut (P1,339)
Package 4: Rebond with "service all you can" for hair treatment + haircut, foot spa and kilay (P1,442)

*Package 2 - 4 comes with a free Eat All You Can (lunch or dinner)

Gate pass to the food, woohoo!!!

Now that's the difference of Heaven's Salon among others - an Eat All You Can lunch or dinner!!! Yes it's true! By the way I chose package 3.

No gimmick just real bufffet at Heaven's!

Procedure:

First thing is, you need not to condition your hair if you're going to have a rebond.

Rebond treatment or R1 will be the first to apply in the hair. It depends on the condition of hair how much time is needed for “babad.” After 40 minutes (as advised by a Heaven’s staff that only 40 minutes is needed for my hair), rinse then blower to dry for hair iron.

Because of Heaven’s hundreds of clients, I waited for three hours just to iron my hair. After ironing, they applied vitamin C and I waited again for 30 minutes before rinsing.

The next procedure which I really liked – applying cellophane. I chose Medium Golden Blonde for my permanent cellophane.

Ending - I still love the results and will go back again and again.

DA BEST SATURDAY WITH JADE

with the Anchor's Away as background

September 30 (Saturday) was the best day ever spent with my niece Jade. It was my way of treating her for having been so good in class, a good "ate" to King and Bianca, a loving grand/daughter and a sweet "pamangkin."

It was Saturday. I woke up early to have breakfast until I've noticed it's raining! The sky turned grey, oh no! Until then, I and the rest of my officemates were having a survey if we will push through with the trip. But then, we still grabbed the opportunity to continue the plan and it happened.

It was Jade's first ride at the MRT, I guess. While we were at the train, she kept on looking everywhere. I think my niece is observing quietly. We rode from Santolan to Shaw station. At Star Mall, we rode a van (Balibago) which costs us P70 each.

By 11am, we were at WalterMart, Balibago to have lunch first. By 12nn, we were now at Enchanted Kingdom!!!

Finally!!!

It was also my first time to be in EK (no joking!) When stepped inside the theme park, I felt like a kid again, wanting to try all the rides.

For the first ride, we tried the Flying Fiesta, I thought Jade wouldn't mind to ride it but she insisted to try it. So here goes...

The very first ride: at Flying Fiesta!

After the ride, we were kinda "hilo," so we have decided to chill at Rialto. It's a 60-seater theatre system which combines sight, sound and movement, allowing guests to be part of the action that is happening on the screen (from Enchanted Kingdom website).

Jade kept on asking me why we need to wear glasses inside the theater. I just explained to her that it's a 3D glasses.

One ride that Jade refuses to try was the Wheel of Fate. Actually, she was very excited to ride  when she saw it, but when the wheel started to function, she was very afraid.

As seen in the picture, she was seated at the floor already (you can only see her pink and purple bag), doesn't want to see how high we were at that time.

For the other rides, here are some of our photos:

Before going home, Jade bought some stuff at the EK store after the Rio Grande ride.

Overall, I think Jade enjoyed our Saturdate.

It was also a day when ABS-CBN Corporate Communications girls bond.

"INA KAPATID ANAK" ADVANCED SCREENING

photo from Myan Marucut's Facebook
Last Thursday (Oct. 4), I was given the chance to watch in advanced "Ina Kapatid Anak" at the cinema 7 of Trinoma mall. The said series is another offering of ABS-CBN, topbilled by PBB teens 1st big winner Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Xian Lim and Enchong Dee.

at the red carpet: Myan and JM
At first, I wasn't expecting anything while watching the series, I just sat down and relax. To my surprise, I was teary-eyed when Zachario (played by Ronaldo Valdez) had a dramatic scene with his daughter Teresa (Cherry Pie Picache). It made me shed tears while watching it and can't even think of some stars to give life to the characters.

Cinema 7 of Trinoma mall was filled with celebrity, cast members, press, production people and some fans. Luckily, I was invited by our dear officemate who handles Ina Kapatid Anak account.

To be honest, I really don't like the series - even though the show is not starting yet. But after watching the advanced screening of IKA, I still watched the pilot episode last Monday (Oct. 8) and now hooked on the show.

THAT NICE GUY

It's just a simple 'thanks' but it really means a lot to me.

It was a fine day and all of us are aiming for a fast-pace day, looking forward to the weekend and suddenly, I feel frozen. Slater Young just replied to me on Twitter.

As a monitoring girl of ABS-CBN CorpComm, I always had a bunch of news to read, scanning the papers from cover-to-cover, surfing the net and browse to see some 'pick-ups.'

As I flipped the Manila Times and turned to entertainment section, I saw this feature story on Slater Young and it really caught my attention - The rise of the nice guy.

I immediately screen grabbed the article from ManilaTimes.net site and made it to jpeg format. Originally, I wanted to post it on my Facebook wall but decided to post it on Twitter - tagging @thatguySLATER

After posting it, I got a notification from my BB and while having a conversation with an IT person via phone, I initially said 'Oh my God!' upon seeing who tweeted me. As I saw it, I wanted to drop the call right away to see what the reply of Slater was.

It's just a simple 'thanks' but it really means a lot to me. He was my crush way back his PBB days and voted for him to win the 'Big winner' title.

You are really such a nice guy, Slater! Keep it up!

KZ TANDINGAN AT THE X FACTOR PHL (PRESSCON)

Watch The X Factor Philippines finalist KZ Tandingan with her performance at the X Factor PHL press conference last September 14, 2012 at the Dolphy Theater.

IT'S A PRIVILEGE!

Little did I know that someday, I will be holding a 1997 newspaper of Philippine Daily Inquirer.

For ABS-CBN chairman and CEO Gabby Lopez’s 60th b-day, I was tasked to find a specific article in the Inquirer library. It was about the Lopezes and the Ayalas that was published in January 1997, between the dates of 23 - 25. It is said to be in the front page of Inquirer.

As I arrived at Inquirer office in Makati (about an hour of travel from ABS-CBN), I don’t have a hard time finding the said article because the Inquirer library is very organized. The newspaper copies were arranged by year and but each issue of Inquirer newspaper only has one copy, so reproduction of it is allowed.

As I scanned the 1997 archive, I found this…

The article was really about the Lopezes and the Ayalas centered in their vigorous role for Filipinos. "SA UMAGA PAGGISING MO PARA MAG HILAMOS HANGGANG SA PAG PATAY NG ILAW PARA MATULOG SA GABI... CUSTOMER KA NILA!"
